Hyper9's Review
The XP Backfire is yet another gimmick from Larami. However, this attempt works out much better compared to the MDS and XP 85. It has 2 nozzles, one on the front, one on the back. The way you have to hold the blaster is somewhat awkward, because you have to hold it underneath your arm, so the rear nozzle isn't pointing at you. You are able to operate the nozzles separate from each other, however, the rear nozzle trigger is somewhat oddly placed, so you might fire it while pumping. It performs pretty well. I would recommend this to grunts and scouts.
Budgie's Review
The XP-Backfire, what a cute idea having a gun that can fire backwards and forwards. Like most cute ideas they don't make practical ideas, the Backfire is one of those. This is one of the most akward soakers I ever had to deal with almost but not as bad as the CPS-2700's akwardness. Once you do get the grip for it you'll notice pumping is strange and it took alot of pumps and sometimes you may even fire the Back nozzle off when you want the front to fire because your so used to it. As the name implys the Backfire backfires on you alot. As you may notice the word backfire is used when something you planned goes wrong and you wind up getting sabatoged. With the Backfire thats not hard you often find that you soak yourself or one of your team mates easier the you soak the enemy. This weapon suffers from a poor stream lacking power and a major lack of range im pretty sure a Classic SS-50 could take on the Backfire and come out the victor. It uses preassurized reservoir technology and it's easy to find your self out of water from firing it to much. Overall if you waster your money on this you'll get 2 XP-220's slapped together its not much of a gun not much at all. If you do happen to find an enemy dumb enough not to see that back nozzle and get him soaked it can be kind of funny. This gun will Backfire on you giving your hard earned money to Larami and you having a pretty bad soaker.
