Sapper's Review
Although the XP 220 is small, it is a great side arm. The nozzle is rated as 1X and has good range for such a small blaster. However, I have noticed that the nozzle is sort of slanted, so the effect is that the burst is too. Thus, holding the blaster at a 45 degree angle is not recommended. The pump is to short, so it requires more pumps to charge up the reservoir; it is red and bright, so it also is seen easily. When you are refilling, you are really weak because you can’t fire due to the fact that the blaster is a pressurized reservoir type blaster. There are two things I like about the reservoir/cap: the reservoir is clear so that I know how much water I have left and it's tethered so I don’t have to loose it. The handle won’t break on you, but if your hands are large, they won’t fit. To fire, the trigger has to be pushed with the whole hand. I you ask me, I think the handle and the trigger were designed stupidly.
In all, this would make a good side arm. I would use the XP 240 for scouting. I’ll give it an 84% out of 100% because of the handle and trigger.
Some people probably think the XP 220 has no significant tactical advantage, but they are wrong. The XP 220 can be used as a side arm and is quite good at it. It could also be used a paperweight. But more seriously, the blaster could also be ideal for scouting, if you want.
