Water gun not fully charging when pumping

Problem
Your water gun is not fully charging when you pump it up. The water gun does not hold pressure.
Solutions
There are two major possible problems when a water gun is not fully charging.
One is that the water gun is leaking and the pressure is lost through the leak. Read our guide to repairing leaks if your water gun is leaking.
The other problem is that the pressure relief valve is enabled early. The pressure relief valve is a safety valve that prevents overpressurization. When it malfunctions, it can activate when the gun is not yet fully pressurized. The solution is to disable that valve and be careful to not overpressurize it.
